The article describes in detail the experience of the European Union, highlights the main directions of development of legislation (for example, the formation of consumer confidence in the services available in the online markets), and analyzes legislative initiatives in the field of protection of competition in digital markets. The authors also consider the options for establishing the legal regime of big data.

The author analyzes the draft laws, proposes to introduce such concepts as “blockchain”, “smart contract” and others into the Russian legislation, considers foreign experience in this part and marks the beginning of a new stage in the development of the doctrine of civil law.
